Have you all ever heard about the interior design rule: build a room from the floors up? I’ve always wanted to do that, but never had the actual opportunity to start with a clean slate, litereally so clean we were looking at raw cement.

I’m excited to share my final result from working with Floor & Decor. I previously shared my experience choosing the design and materials at their Phoenix store (everything is available online too) and now, with great pleasure, I get to share the final result. The installation of the flooring was completed by Optimum AZ. They did an incredible job laying the herringbone at an incredible price!! They were extremely professional, I highly recommend their services.

I’m over the moon about the room we built from the floor up. Starting with the herringbone tile and then placing everything in relation to this amazing rug from Rugs USA.

We even carried the herringbone wood look tile into our bathroom and closet where we have gray cabinets and brass pulls. It worked out perfect! For a more perfect bathroom designs, read this blog entitled remodeling ideas for your bathroom.

We set a base of pure class and unique elegance, which made me feel like we couldn’t go wrong choosing the rest of the design elements in the room. It’s amazing how much the flooring makes a difference!!

We have just picked this tile for our entire house! I’m pretty nervous considering I couldn’t find anymore pictures around the web of it. Would you happen to have anymore non professional pictures of your bedroom and bathroom you can show me? Our walls will be a light grey, and our cabinetry will be a medium to medium dark stain and I’m trying to get a better picture of what everything might look like.

    • Hi! I do have lots more pictures! It’s such a great tile because it really goes with a lot! Can you DM me on instagram? @wetheclassy I’m happy to respond with some more snapshots. 🙂

We just used the same tile and grout colors in our bathroom. Thank you for the inspiration! What color paint is on the bedroom walls?

    • Hi! YES! I LOVE the tile/grout so much! Glad you like it too! Our walls in these pictures are Muslin by Dunn Edwards, it’s a greige color. We recently repainted the entire house in Whisper by Dunn Edwards because I wanted the brightness. I plan to post more pics soon of the updates we’ve been doing to other rooms. xx
