Ok, so I know Father’s day has come and gone, so this seems a little confusing and dated, but respecting the amazing dads (or moms) around us shouldn’t be restricted to one day. One of the highest predictors of a person’s happiness is how appreciated they feel.
It’s perfectly free to say thank you to someone for making dinner or watching the kids while you finish a blog post 😉 but when I wanted to go beyond a simple thank you, I looked for items that would make my husband happy at home. One of my favorite quotes is by MLK, “Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave.” Reverse the scenario or whatever you want to do, point is, lets make our home a happy place.
My husband is a pretty modern guy, who I consider stylish so I went for comfort items that are also easy on the eyes, that’s key! I gave him some insanely soft pants from SweatTailor, which are perfect since he is a really active guy in general. I also gave him a BottleKeeper, it keeps his brew cold while he’s working at home or enjoying a game. I know he’s going to be excited to use it by the pool in the Arizona heat too.
These simple, thoughtful, and stylin’ items were just what I needed to show him I cared and successfully brought a smile to his face. He’s a total rock and deserves to know I appreciate him every day. Make sure you say thank you to the rocks in your life too.
