Phoenix Fashion Week

Clothing, Fashion & Style, Seasonal, Thoughts

Ahhhh, and so it has come and passed, and we are left a little richer… fashionably richer that is.

Phoenix Fashion Week is a baby compared to NYFW, and Paris FW.  We are like this small feisty little thing, growing at amazing rates, but still exploring limits and discovering our abilities.

It’s refreshing to be amongst other Phoenicians who have a passion for making the local fashion industry better and bigger. Each emerging designer presented was so extremely different.  Each one put on display their blood and sweat, their works of art. I can only imagine what it’s like for them see their line come to life. Below is a shot of my favorites, Michi Knitwear. The craftsmanship with these knit pieces was stellar, and I absolutely loved many of the silhouettes.

In the main designer portion I felt like I was being taken through a mystical fairytale. Mermaid like swimwear with flowing cover ups by Dolcessa, followed by sheer gowns with blinding sparkles and capes by Yen and Yas Couture, ending with a real life Cinderella walking to a soundtrack from the actual movie. At that point I started video taping because I knew my daughter’s head would pop off from the all the glamorous amazingness.

Our printed long sleeve performance tee, gym and casual wear clothing make perfect attire for teams, coaching staff, personal trainers, and athletes who are serious about activity and leisure.

The models from Ford Robert Black Arizona executed perfectly and fit each line like they were acting out a scene from the fairytale… fairytale of fashion.

Well done Phoenix, thank you for the magical evening.
