Remember when everyone was wearing those bright wildly chunky statement necklaces? Well, if you still are, you need to reconsider your jewelry game. Not saying I don’t like a good statement, but lately jewelry has taken a turn for the classy. The perfect example of modern and classy is Monica Vinader. I’m smitten with her line that is not only STUNNING, it has a range of formal to casual pieces that can be personalized. I have a new jewelry crush, and it’s Monica Vinader.
My blog is mostly about fashion, but these long summer days with the kiddos are making us all antsy and I’ve been focusing on doing some new projects with them. I searched for some kid-friendly artsy science projects (that would be fun for me too) and landed on this great idea for ice art. It’s 110 degrees outside here so anything with ice is a great idea! –>
I’m currently seeing stars and stripes everywhere, yay USA, but here’s a couple looks I put together for NYDJ using gingham and stripes. Both looks are a little modern, a little sweet, and very hot weather friendly. Each top is cool and breezy. The denim has special moisture wicking technology that a lot of athletic lines use, so they are extra comfy on those hot days. Read more about the incredible Cool Embrace by NYDJ here.

The minute I walk in an Anthropologie store my heart fills with pure fashionista joy! I was recently talking to a friend and we concluded this: Anthropologie has the best of everything. The best fashion, the best homeware, the best jewelry, the best brand. Here’s a look that I’ve been wearing non stop. I’m not embarrassed to say that I wore these jeans every single day in La Jolla on vacation, they are SO comfy, the perfect weight, color, and style for mild summer days. The adorable star design eyelet top is only $88!! In addition to this look, I went ahead and shared some of my favorite Anthropologie Summer pieces.
There’s not a whole lot more to say other than, I love it there, I love everything I’ve ever purchased there, and I’m already getting a ton of use out of these pieces. Yay for Anthro! Wait, now I want to go there right now!!
While fashion blogging is a huge part of my life, being a mom is bigger. My day to day involves a lot of messes, and school work, and refereeing between a four and five year old. I love these little ones with wild personalities to the moon and back, so being able to showcase style from Marks and Spencer with them was an amazing experience. It also required ice cream and a lot of patience.
