Kick Game

I must admit, I lust after sneakers year round.  I was on my way to pick up a pair of Stan Smiths and found these New Balance at DSW. They were incredibly affordable and instantly make casuals look fashionable. Get yours. My sneaker appetite is satisfied for now.

Knits and Suede

Now that we have established it’s fall with pumpkin spice flavored everything, I’m feeling stoked over soft textiles and soothing colors. It has been hot waaay too long over on the West side of the USA, and I will jump at any opportunity to wear one more layer than my birthday suit without melting.

Seriously though, here’s a few of my picks for the fall; ones that you will wear over and over, ones that give the “I’m stylish and don’t try” look.  I wrapped them all into one outfit like a neatly made package and my best friend, who’s an interior designer (Kay & Elle Decor will be launching soon so keep an eye out), took pics of me in her beautiful home.

A super easy way to personalize your style is throwing on a pair of uncommon sneakers.  Here’s a few of my faves.

Animal Flats

Flats have taken a turn for the wild just in time for temps to cool down a little.  These every day shoes can easily handle an intense wardrobe color pallet. Consider them a must for fall/winter 2014.  (Above, Valentino Rockstud Flats $1,495)

90’s Style Kinda Rocks

There is a love-hate element that comes with 90’s fashion based on when that decade dawned on your life, either way it’s back in full swing.  Personally, 90’s style is a bit rough for me, just like Jr. High and High School were.   I probably wouldn’t wear all of these at once, but balancing out a few with basics = successful styling.
