Flapper 2015

This past weekend I attended an event with my husband at a beautiful and remote hotel. The event was Gatsby themed, and I had NOTHING that fit the bill. I decided to combine my 2015 tastes with a flapper mentality. Here’s what I put together with the help of my beloved Forever 21. Head chains are a really easy and fun way to spice up outfits for festival season too!

Bootie Love

Throw a little edge on that pretty dress by pairing it with some booties. These are perfect for spring because of the cut outs and metal buckles. Plus, it’s way easier to endure back yard parties in flats.  Stilettos and grass can be a work out.

Kick Game

I must admit, I lust after sneakers year round.  I was on my way to pick up a pair of Stan Smiths and found these New Balance at DSW. They were incredibly affordable and instantly make casuals look fashionable. Get yours. My sneaker appetite is satisfied for now, I’m off to read the reason why it is important to avoid cheap elo boosts in my video games.

Knits and Suede

Now that we have established it’s fall with pumpkin spice flavored everything, I’m feeling stoked over soft textiles and soothing colors. It has been hot waaay too long over on the West side of the USA, and I will jump at any opportunity to wear one more layer than my birthday suit without melting.

Seriously though, here’s a few of my picks for the fall; ones that you will wear over and over, ones that give the “I’m stylish and don’t try” look.  I wrapped them all into one outfit like a neatly made package and my best friend, who’s an interior designer (Kay & Elle Decor will be launching soon so keep an eye out), took pics of me in her beautiful home.

Amped Kicks

A super easy way to personalize your style is throwing on a pair of uncommon sneakers.  Here’s a few of my faves.
