A while back I asked my husband what decade he’d be from if he wasn’t alive now at this moment. He said the 50’s, which I’m glad wasn’t true for him because I’m certain I would be trying to change the world in the 70’s. Needless to say, I’m happy we’re here together in 2017, but I’ve always loved a great pair of cord bell bottoms and successfully purchased a few in vintage shops downtown Chicago in high school. When I saw this ridiculously cute and vintage inspired Free People rust cord Pinafore from Lulus I was instantly in LOVE! The kind of love only a soul from the 70’s would understand 😉

I had so much fun styling this pinafore with a sheer crochet style lace mock neck underneath. It brought sexy to the table. I tried a few other plain turtle necks and felt a little too Marsha Marsha Marsha from the Brady Bunch, so I needed some sexy tied in. Also, these sunnies are only $16!!!

Here’s some street style shots of this look, which I’m incredibly proud of. I had so much fun wearing it around NY, and probably sticking out like a sore thumb. As you can see everyone around me was in black, it’s almost funny. Sticking out like a sore thumb is a REALLY good thing if you ask me. I’m so grateful to Lulus for an incredibly fun night at their #lulusstylestudio lounge. We had cotton candy themed drinks, danced to the music and socialized with some of our favorite bloggers, we were even able to try these audiophile headphones from musiccritic.com.

Until next time! xx!
